Independent research shows that worn tyres significantly increase the risk of an accident in the wet and that over 14% of cars on the road have at least one defective tyre.
Tyres are the sole contact between your car and the road and many of us do not check them regularly enough.
Ideally, tyres should be checked on a weekly basis – not just for the correct pressure, but also for tread depth, cuts, scrapes and bulges – which can all contribute to a tyre failing and potentially causing a blow-out.
It is recommended that you change your tyres when the tread depth falls below 3mm.

Incorrect alignment can cause premature tyre wear and have a detrimental effect on the vehicle’s handling and, thus, its safety. Alignment can be affected by kerbs, potholes and even speed bumps.
