Following the latest guidance from the government, we have reopened our showroom and local motorists are invited to take a closer look at the range of brand-new Vauxhall vehicles available.
Your safety is our priority and we have put a range of measures in place to help protect both staff and customers alike. As well as making facemasks and hand sanitising gel available for our visitors, we also have markers on the showroom floor to make it easier for you to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Staff have been provided with gloves, and desks have been fitted with clear screens. A rigorous cleaning schedule is being implemented across all areas of the showroom, with every vehicle regularly disinfected and desks thoroughly cleaned after each customer. For the foreseeable future, machines serving refreshments will remain out of use.
We want our customers’ experiences of the Vauxhall range to be as close to ‘normal’ as possible, and you are still welcome to take a test drive. Vehicles are fully disinfected before use or fitted with protective coverings, and our sales consultant will sit on the back seat wearing PPE.
All those who purchase a new Vauxhall still have the option to collect in person if they wish, however you will also receive handover videos via email to demonstrate the key features of your new car along with the necessary paperwork which can be completed electronically.

What to expect when collecting your new vehicle.
We take the safety of our colleagues and customer very seriously and in the current climate, that responsibility is even more important.As a result, we have had to change our usual vehicle handover process to ensure the safety of both our customers and colleagues and of course respecting the government guidelines.
To ensure that your visit is swift, pre handover videos explaining the basic controls of the vehicle are available if required. Please email Paul.Tyrell@yorkward.co.uk should you want to take advantage of this.
When collecting your new vehicle at the pre-arranged time, you must go directly to our handover area which is in our Van Business Centre, next door to the main Vauxhall Showroom.
In order to maintain social distancing, only one customer will be allowed in the handover area at any one time, therefor it is important that you notify us if running late on:
In accordance to government guidelines all customers are required to wear a face covering, that covers both your nose and mouth, for the duration of your visit.We would also like to ask that you make full use of the various sanitation points around the building. Should you forget your face covering a disposable face mask will be made available.
If your personal circumstances exempt you from wearing a face covering, please let us know.
Upon arrival at the handover area you will be greeted by a member of staff who will direct you over to the signing area, where your paperwork will already be prepared for you.If you have a part exchange a member of the team will re appraise the vehicle before you sign the paperwork for your new vehicle.
Ahead of your visit, your new vehicle will have been fully valeted and sanitised ready for collection.Or handover specialist will ensure that social distancing measures are maintained throughout your visit.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have, but do rest assured that our handover specialist will call you shortly after to collection to answer any questions that you may have.
Once you have signed your paperwork, your sanitised keys will be given to you in a sealed envelope and you will be free to drive away.

Our aftersales departments remain fully operational for servicing, MOT and repairs. Social distancing measures, an appointment-only system, protective screens at our service desks as well as cashless payments have been in place for several months now. Further to our statement of 27th March, we continue to monitor guidance from the Government. Our primary focus has been, and will remain, the safety and wellbeing of our staff, their families, our customers and partners in the communities we serve. Garage businesses continue to operate under an exemption from the UK lock down and as personal protective equipment and guidance has evolved, so too has our ability to operate safely. As such we are able to resume essential services for all customers as follows:

The parts department is now receiving twice daily deliveries for Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen, DS and Eurorepar – our all makes parts brand. You can reserve any vehicle on sale for just £99 and test drive when lock down restrictions are lifted. If your need is urgent we can deliver anywhere on UK mainland for free.
